Japanese Culture Night @ International House

Details
International House is hosting the Japanese Culture Night on Wednesday, Feb 22 from 6 – 8 pm.
Have you ever seen an asymmetrical flower arrangement or photo of a Japanese temple and wondered what it was all about? Do you know the word ‘otaku’ or ‘manga’? How about miso-soup, Kinkaku-jinja, or Samurai?
Home both to the largest city in the world and to thousands of traditional shrines, Japan’s culture is one that has fascinated the West for centuries. Van Gough and Debussy found inspiration in the famed Ukio-e prints, Zen Buddhism has inspired even the world of golf, and anime and manga increase their fanbase by the thousands.
For just $5, you can join us at the I-House for an informative and fun night of Japanese cuisine, dance, traditions, culture and Kendo performance.
Dont miss it. Tickets are on sale at the I-House front desk.
